YOUR LIBRARY CARD
Your library card must be presented to borrow library materials. It may be used at all Newark Public Library locations. Notify the Library immediately if your card is lost or stolen, or if you change your address. The cost for a replacement card is $.25.
HOW TO GET A LIBRARY CARD
Apply in person at the library you use most often. Fill out an Application Form and a Responsibility Card. A parent, guardian, or other adult must register in person for a minor (anyone under age 18) and must sign a Responsibility for Minor Card.
Adult applicants and adults who are responsible for minors must present an acceptable form of identification to verify address and age.
The Library reserves the right not to issue a library card to anyone who cannot provide identification and to restrict the borrowing privileges of any person who has overdue materials and/or accumulated fines and charges.
Non-residents of the Licking County area are limited by the number and type of materials they may borrow.
Occasionally, all borrowers may be limited by the number of items that may be borrowed at one time on seasonal and high demand subjects.
